Update: WWS Assistant Principal Dies in Her Home
Cathy Bethia, 49, died in her home in Carol Stream Sunday, Jan 31.
A preliminary finding by the DuPage County Coroner's Office is that the death of Wheaton Warrenville South educator Cathy Bethia was a suicide.
The Coroner's Office expects toxicology test results near the end of the month.
Bethia, 49, was assistant principal for instruction at Wheaton Warrenville South. She died in her home in Carol Stream Jan. 31.

In a Feb. 1 e-mail to WWS families, Principal David Claypool announced that Bethia had been found dead and praised her contributions to the school, including its ESL program.
