Step2 Recalls Children's Riding Toy Due to Fall Hazard

Manufacturer Step2 recalls children's X-Rider riding toy after reports of children falling over the handlebars.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and manufacturer Step2 Tuesday announced a voluntary recall of the X-Rider Car Riding Toy, according to the CPSC.

Step2 has received four reports of incidents involving children leaning too far forward on their seats and going over the handlebars, according to the CPSC.

Step2 and the CPSC are recalling the toy sold at Target and other retailers between January and August 2012. Consumers should immediately get rid of the toy and contact Step2 for a free replacement, according to the CPSC.
