Some Drizzle, Some Snow Monday, Sun's Back on Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the area and predicts snow this afternoon and tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Monday, warning of "patchy freezing drizzle" possible across Illinois this morning.

Up to one inch of snow will follow areas of drizzle this afternoon with a 90 percent chance of precipitation. The expected high for the day is 33 degrees, with winds around 15 mph, gusts as high as 25 mph.

One to three inches of snow could accumulate overnight with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. The sun might make an appearance tomorrow for a "partly sunny" day, expected Tuesday and Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 20s until Wednesday, which could warm up to a high near 41 degrees and stay up through Friday.
