Reminder: No Garbage Pickup on Fourth Of July

Wheaton residents who have trash pickup on Thursday and Friday will have to hold on to their black bags for an extra day this week.

There will be no garbage, recycling or yard waste pickup this Thurs., July 4 due to the holiday, the City of Wheaton announced on Monday.

Residents who had a July 4 trash pickup will have a pickup on Fri., July 5 instead. And residents who usually get a Friday pickup will have it this Sat., July 6.

City offices will also be closed on July 4. The annual Fourth of July parade will begin at 10 a.m. near Hawthorne and Main Street.

And don't forget: The fireworks display will be held at 9 p.m. July 3 at Graf Park and the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road, Wheaton.
