Readers' Choice: Nominate Your Favorite Spots in Wheaton

Readers will choose their favorites in 25 different categories during a summer-long competition.

Patch Readers' Choice is back and better than ever!

Beginning Monday, Patch is on a mission to find favorites of the Wheaton community in 25 different categories—from sushi spots, to jewelers, to realtors—as selected by you, the reader.

Patch prides itself on being a go-to source for community information, and if there are special businesses out there that go above and beyond for their customers, or a park that is without a doubt the best summer spot, our readers want to know about it.

Here's how they'll find out:

June 18 to July 9: This is the nomination period. We will accept nominations via the comment streams in each of the categories listed below. (Just click on the link and type the name of your favorite as a comment.) Spread the word about Readers' Choice by telling your friends about the contest via Facebook and Twitter, and alert your favorite business that they've been nominated.

July 10 to July 22: Patch will put together 25 Readers' Choice polls featuring every nominee in each category.

July 23 to Aug. 17: Voting time! During this period, all the polls will be live and readers can cast votes in as many different categories as they desire. Again, those who rock the vote can spread the word via social media to make sure that their friends are chipping in, and that their favorite business and organizations know that they have a chance to win the Readers' Choice Award.

Aug. 24: Winners are announced and everyone lives happily ever after.

Below are all of the categories we're seeking nominations for and will eventually be voted on. Tell us who your favorites are now and get the ball rolling on this fun and exciting competition!

Suburban Music August 08, 2012 at 03:18 AM
I'm more than a little disappointed that your writers couldn't imagine a "best music store/studio" category, especially since there are so many great places to study music in the fine town of Wheaton- Suburban Music being one of them. So I'm just gonna go ahead & take that crown for Suburban Music. Apparently we are the only shop bothered by the omission of our category in the Patch.
