Police Blotter: Aug. 14 DUI, Drug Arrests

The following arrest reports were taken from the Wheaton police blotter.

Police arrested a Glendale Heights man for driving under the influence of alcohol and illegally transporting liquor around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14. Gershon Acolatse, 35, drove a beige 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis near the intersection of Dawes and Grant streets when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department at 5:30 a.m. and released later that morning. In the same incident, police also arrested a 30-year-old Glendale Heights man for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on the scene

Police arrested Thomas Willis, 48, of Warrenville for driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding Sunday, Aug. 14. Willis drove a green 2002 Toyota near the intersection of Butterfield Road and Cromwell Street around 1 a.m. Sunday when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department at 3:15 a.m. and released later that morning.

Police arrested Christopher Coyle, 41, of the north 300 block of Fanchon Street in Wheaton for driving under the influence of alcohol, endangering the life of a child and illegal transport of liquor Sunday, Aug. 14. Coyle drove a white Ford Focus near the intersection of Main and Forest streets around 12:30 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. Police also issued a local ordinance citation to a 41-year-old Wheaton woman, who was with Coyle, for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on the scene.
