National Weather Service: Tornado Warning for DuPage County

National Weather Service issues a tornado warning for DuPage County around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jun. 21.

Updated 8:43 p.m.: The severe weather warning is now in effect until 9:30 p.m. Severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadic weather has been spotted near Westmont and are moving northeast at 50 miles per hour.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm will be near O'Hare Airport, Rosemont, Park Ridge and Schiller Park around 8:50 p.m.; it will reach Des Plaines, Niles, Morton Grove and Mount Prospect around 8:55 p.m.; and Northbrook, Glenview and Northfield around 9 p.m.

8:20 p.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for DuPage County around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jun. 21 and will end at 9 p.m.

Inbound and Outbound Trains operating from Elburn to and including the West Chicago Stations have been stopped due to a weather advisory of high winds.
