How to Help for Make a Difference Day 2012

Food collection has started for the annual "Stuff-a-Truck" event on Make a Difference Day in Wheaton.

The annual Make a Difference Day celebration in Wheaton is Saturday, Oct. 27, and residents can participate.

Care Packages for Adopted Battalion

Wheaton's Community Relations Commission will send care packages to the 1st Battallion, 18th Infantry Regiment of the First Division, and is collecting UNO cards, iTunes gift cards, Tic Tacs, Star Mints, gum, powdered drink packets and Beef Jerky.

Donation boxes are located at the Wheaton Public Library, City Hall and the Wheaton French Market.

Stuff-a-Truck with Food

The Wheaton Chamber of Commerce is collecting non-perishable food for the People's Resource Center. The "stuff-a-truck" event will take place at the celebration Oct. 17 at the Illinois Institute of Technology, 201 E. Loop Rd. Collection boxes are at various businesses throughout Wheaton.
