Cantigny to Host First Ceramic Arts Show

Cantigny will host its first ceramic arts show on May 15.

will host its first-ever Ceramic Arts Show on Sunday, May 15, in partnership with ClaySpace.  The show will take place in the Cantigny Visitors Center from 10 am to 4 pm.

ClaySpace is a non-profit ceramic arts studio in Warrenville.  At the show, ClaySpace artists will exhibit and offer for sale a variety of handmade and one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces, some functional and some decorative.  Visitors will see such items as platters, bowls, wall sculptures, vases and soap dishes.  Jewelry and hand-mixed soap also will be featured.

“ClaySpace is working hard to further the ceramic arts,” said Marie Gnesda, the studio’s marketing manager.  “This sale gives us the opportunity to show the public some of the many ways we express our artistic talents in the third dimension with clay.”
