Gallery Theater Presents "The Christmas Tree"

In time for the holiday season, Gallery Theater presents The Christmas Tree, a heartwarming play by Norm Foster featuring Laura DeWitt and Will Austin.  Performances are Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the charming, intimate theater space at Gallery 200/STUDIO, 203 Turner Court, West Chicago. The addition of a second performance at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013 is anticipated based on advanced ticket sales.

The Neil Simon-like play is set in a cold Christmas tree lot on Christmas Eve, where two people come to purchase the last tree left on the lot.  As they discuss their individual reasons for why they deserve to purchase the tree, they learn much about each other and come to understand that the meaning of Christmas is about more than a simple Christmas tree.  The story is filled with laughs, heartache and good old-fashioned Christmas spirit.
