Durham Top Corporate Sales Team for 2013 Special Olympics Illinois Duck Derby

WARRENVILLE, Ill. – Durham School Services made a splash at the 2013 Windy City Rubber Ducky Derby last month, where Durham employees joined together and were recognized as the top corporate sales team by selling 2,522 rubber duckies to benefit Special Olympics Illinois. These efforts raised over $11,000 and all funds went directly to Special Olympics.

The annual Rubber Ducky Derby is a prominent fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics Illinois since 2005.  This year over 60,000 rubber duckys were dropped into the Chicago River as they raced towards the finish line where fantastic prizes awaited the winning duckys.

Dave Breen, President and CEO of Special Olympics Illinois, said:  “Once again our friends at Durham School Services came through for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois with their winning effort in sales of duck adoptions. This will help us in our effort to serve more athletes and offer more program options for our athletes.”
