Wheaton French Market Kicks Off April 20 Despite Weather

The market will be open on for business April 20 and kick off its 2013 season.

A little crazy weather isn't about to stop the Wheaton French Market. Opening day for the market is Saturday, April 20, and will continue just as planned, according to an official with the French Market.

Wheaton Mayor Michael J. Gresk will do the official ribbon cutting for the French Market at 8 a.m. Saturday.

More than a typical farmers market, the Wheaton French Market offers a wide variety of vendors. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday through Nov. 9, 2013, visit the French Market near the intersection of Main Street and Liberty Drive to find fresh produce, locally made gifts, art, specialty foods, handmade jewelry, flowers and more. Items sold change seasonally, offering visitors variety from week to week.

This year’s French Market season will extend beyond its usual November closing. From Nov. 16 through Dec. 21, the market will be open each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the same location.
