Your business name: Crystal Earth Rock Shop
Email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Phone number: 630-588-4009
Business address/town: 207 S. Hale St., Wheaton, IL 60187
When and how did your business get started?
We opened our store in February 2011. Before opening the store, we participated in flea markets like the DuPage County All Night Flea Market, which takes place every August at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.
What is your business best known for?
We are a genuine rock shop. My husband and I mine in Arkansas for the clear quartz that is found in our store. But we also have specimens from Brazil, Madagascar, China etc.
We have basic fossils and sea items.
We also have a Large variety of incense and candles that are part of our "Hippie Section."
How can people contact your business?
Mail: 207 S. Hale St., Wheaton, IL 60187
What is your business website address? www.crystalearth-wheaton.com
Does your business offer a special deals card or program?
We have new deals every month. They are changed monthly on our Facebook and Yelp pages so that customers don't have to come into the store to find out what they are.
January is 15% off any clear quartz specimen or 60% off select books.
Share your business Facebook URL, if you have one. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Crystal-Earth-Rock-Shop/203710049641772?ref=hl
What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?
We have a birthday club that our customers can sign up for to receive a free gift on the birthday! Also, starting last year, we plan to sponsor two craft shows a year to help our local artists get their name and products out there. We hold them at the Wheaton VFW. This year they will be in May and November.
Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?
We chose Wheaton for several reasons. We raised our family in Wheaton/Glen Ellyn, so we know the people are good, kind people who care about small businesses. Downtown Wheaton gets a lot of foot traffic all year long and the fellow business owners look out for each other. I don't think we could have picked a better town to start a business like this in.
