When and how did your business get started?

Reverend Billy Graham in the 1970s sought to launch a center that would combine the thought-leadership of academic research with the real-world wisdom of missions professionals. An archives and museum were created to provide the research and inspirational stories of the history of Christian mission and its effect on American society. The Billy Graham Center was built on the campus of Wheaton College and dedicated by Reverend Graham in September of 1980.

What is your business best known for?

The Billy Graham Center Museum has a 30-year tradition of inviting guests of all ages to better understand their own purpose and meaning through the unique blend of historical artifacts from American evangelism and events and exhibits of visual and performance art. At the conclusion of a museum tour, there is a powerful, walkthrough presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Visitors return after years to see once again what is affectionately referred to as the "heaven room."

There is no fee whatsoever to visit any part of the Billy Graham Center Museum or attend any of its public events. Donations are always welcome.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

With few exceptions, the museum is open to the public seven days a week, year-round: closed only between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?

Wheaton was chosen specifically because of Wheaton College.
