Open For Business: A Total Tan Spa

The long-time Wheaton business has reopened with a new owner and new spa offerings.

A long-time Wheaton business is open again, with new owners, a new attitude and new offerings.

After 17 years the business, formerly known as Total Tan Today, has re-opened with the new name A Total Tan Spa. The spa is located at 262 E. Geneva Road. The business was closed for six-months while the new owners, Lonny and Lisa Harris, updated the business.

The couple owned Sun on the Run in Park Ridge for eight years, but the commute from their Glendale Heights home became too much and they didn't want to move. Lisa Harris took some time off from the business to raise her son, return to school and do volunteer work.

The family-owned business will continue to offer UV tanning services, but also offers additional services including air-brush tanning, facials, body wraps, waxing and eyelashes extensions.

In addition, the spa is also offering its clients free nutritional classes from Linda Cook, a registered nurse who has a degree from Brigham Young University, Lisa Harris said.

“At A Total Tan Spa we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy a high quality spa service with out having to put a strain on their budget,” Harris said.

The business is also very involved in the community and will gladly make a donation to area schools. Just mention the name of the school and a portion of a purchase will be donated, Harris said.

A Total Tan Spa has a cosmetologist on staff, offers skin care products and a boutique.
