N.Y. Investment Firm Buys Downtown Wheaton Apartment Complex

Edge Principal Advisors LLC is buying Wheaton Center Apartments.

A New York investment firm that already owns the 295-unit Retreat at Danada Farms in Wheaton is now buying another apartment building in the city —the 758-unit Wheaton Center Apartments, according to Crain's Chicago Business.

It's unclear how much Edge Principal Advisors LLC will pay for the apartment complex in downtown Wheaton but Crain's reported the transaction is the  "largest suburban multifamily property to change hands in nearly eight years."

Wheaton Center Apartments is located at 2 Wheaton Center and amenities include a heated outdoor pool, health club and an Internet Cafe with free wi-fi. The complex currently rents studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments.
