New Wheaton Mariano’s to Hire Over 430 Workers

A recruitment center has been established and interested persons are encouraged to apply online.

The new Mariano’s Fresh Market scheduled to open in Wheaton sometime this November plans to hire 430 new employees from the Wheaton area to staff the large grocer and restaurant, the Daily Herald reports.

According to the Suburban Life, a recruitment center has been opened at 330 S. Naperville Road and will be holding mass hiring days on Sept. 25 and Oct. 3, 9 and 17; interested parties are encouraged to apply online at the Mariano’s website.

"The most important thing to me is that Mariano's is hiring a couple hundred people and they are actively recruiting in the community," Wheaton Mayor Michael Gresk told the Herald. "The jobs will be very impactful in our community. While the economy is looking to be improving ever so slightly, it's still not back to normal. This is big for us."

"So far the reaction and traffic at the recruiting center has been great,” James Hyland, vice president of corporate communications for Mariano’s parent company Roundy’s Inc., added to the paper. “We're excited the community is excited.”
