Several new businesses are slated to open in Wheaton in the next few months, including a children’s boutique, a beauty salon and an ice cream and candy shop, plus an expansion to a clothing boutique, the Chicago Tribune reports.
According to the paper, Namaste Salon & Spa (109 N. Main Street) will have a grand opening on Sept. 29, while sweets shop Kilwins (Hale and Front, formerly The Genuine Article) will open in early 2014.
Also opening is Hummingbird in a Shoebox, a children’s boutique opening inside Two Shopaholics Boutique (125 W. Front St.) that looks to fill the void left from the closing of Stork’s Cradle earlier this year, the paper said.
“I decided it was a great fit because of the customer base, and I felt there was a need for my products in this particular area,” Hummingbird in a Shoebox founder/owner Brigette Shepad told the paper. “It's a really great downtown.”
