Downtown Wheaton Business Prospects to Tour Open Spaces at Broker's Walk

There are 25 spaces available for new businesses in downtown Wheaton. A Broker's walk will allow curious prospects to check out the space and network with current members of the downtown business community.

While Wheaton has recently welcomed new businesses, there are more than 20 spaces available for new retailers in the downtown, central business area.

Next week, the Downtown Wheaton Association (DWA) will host its second annual Downtown Wheaton Broker's Walk on Thursday, Aug. 2, where brokers can tour 10 of the available properties and network with current members of the downtown community.

The DWA launched its , allowing curious prospects to see available properties and download a comprehensive downtown Wheaton business guide to research the area. The guide includes demographic data of the area, a step-by-step guide to opening a business in downtown Wheaton and grant program information.

The Broker's Walk fits into a city commitment to a downtown strategic plan and streetscape plan. The city in February hired Design Workshop to analyze the area and complete vision, strategic and streetscape plans for downtown Wheaton.

An interactive map on the City of Wheaton website also shows the available office and retail spaces, and six properties for sale.
