Mariano’s Wheaton Store Opens Tuesday

New location includes an in-store barbecue, fresh fruit smoothies, OKI Sushi and more.

Milwaukee-based Roundy’s Inc. will open its new Mariano’s store in Wheaton early Tuesday, Oct. 29, the corporation announced in a release on Monday.

Mariano’s Wheaton, 625 S. Main St., is set to open at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The chain opened its first Chicago-area store in 2010 in Arlington Heights and since has expanded to 13 other communities, including Wheaton.

“Our primary focus is to offer every customer the freshest food, create distinct experiences unique to every store, and provide the most value to our customers,” Bob Mariano, Roundy’s chairman and CEO, said in a release. “I can promise Wheaton shoppers that our customer service will go above and beyond. We see each store as an opportunity to understand our customers to make sure we’re supporting their everyday grocery needs.”

  • Todds BBQ, a Mariano’s eat-in restaurant offering “traditionally smoked meats and backyard-style side dishes.”

  • Squeez’d smoothie bar.

  • Vero authentic coffee and gelato shop.

  • OKI Sushi station.

  • The release states that Mariano’s Wheaton will provide about 425 new jobs to the community.

    Store hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

    In it’s release, Roundy’s said it will look for ways to support community organizations, specifically the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association.
