'Kane County Magazine' Cover Features Wheaton Business Owner

Jill Card, owner of Jeans and a Cute Top Shop in downtown Wheaton, Downers Grove and St. Charles, is featured in the cover story for the latest edition "Kane County Magazine."

Jill Card is keeping our communities in style with her boutique, Jeans and a Cute Top Shop, according to the most recent issue, "Women's Edition" of Kane County Magazine.

The original Jeans and a Cute Top Shop store opened in 2009 on Wesley Street in downtown Wheaton, followed shortly after by the St. Charles store in 2010. Last fall, Card opened her third location in downtown Downers Grove.

"I'm finding a niche." she told the magazine.

The name of the boutique came from a conversation Card had with her eventual husband 20 years ago, when she asked him what she should wear on their first date, she told Patch last summer.

“Our edge is what we do,” she said. “We know women don't want to spend an outrageous price on a top or a ton of money on the jeans they buy, so we try to be affordable.”

The shop specifically targets women ages 35-55, but Card said women of all ages can find something they like.
