Downtown Wheaton Heats Up with Chili Cook-Off

The aroma of chili will fill the air of Downtown Wheaton on November 5 for the annual chili cook-off. Twelve restaurants of all genres from French, to BBQ to Japanese, will put their best chili recipe to the test for a chance to win the first place trophy--and bragging rights-- presented by Wheaton Mayor Michael J. Gresk. The restaurants prepare all year, trying different ingredients and recipes to wow attendees.

Ticket holders can visit all participating restaurants to taste each batch of chili and then cast a vote for their favorite  at 5 p.m. at Ivy Restaurant, after which the awards presentation will take place. Tickets can be purchased at participating restaurants, or by calling the DWA office at 630.682.0633. Prices are as follows: $10.00 adults, $5.00 children 10 & under.
