Dance Center to Open in Wheaton

Elite Feet Dance Center will open in fall 2012 at 206 ?, in the center at the intersection of Main Street and Geneva Road in Wheaton.

Elite Feet Dance Center, a dance center for children from toddlers to teens will open this fall at 246 Geneva Road in Wheaton, moving from its original location at 525 Crescent Boulevard in Glen Ellyn.

Founder Christine Marcinkowski of Glen Ellyn started dancing at age three. She attended Glenbard West, where she danced on the school's team and performed in productions such as The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty with local ballet company, Ballet LaGere, according to the company website.

She attended Columbia College Chicago, where she majored in dance and minored in education, working toward a lifelong dream of teaching dance, according to the center's website.

Elite Feet's newest instructor, Sarah Fugate, is currently studying education, and has choreographed school concerts and taken classes in hip hop and modern dance.

Elite Feet offers classes focused on ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop, a dance camp and a pom pom clinic.
