Come Downtown Saturday for A Dickens of a Christmas Stroll

Visits with Santa, carriage rides, ice sculpting and holiday treats are all on the agenda as you get acquainted with downtown businesses.

Hey Wheaton, get ready for A Dickens of a Christmas Stroll from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, as every shop in downtown Wheaton offers complimentary holiday treats.


The Downtown Wheaton Association spells out the details on its website that invites folks to come on downtown and sample such treats as holiday cookies, cider or egg nog, roasted chestnuts and  souvenir bells.


The day’s activities will include:

  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Visits with Santa  at Martin Memorial Plaza.

  • Noon to 3 p.m. — Carriage  rides.

  • 3 to 6 p.m. — Ice sculpting .


  • Also planned during the celebration are caroling and other family fun.
