Best of: Date Night Restaurants

"Best of" features Patch's picks for a romantic night out.

This is our first go at the Wheaton/Glen Ellyn Patch "Best of" features. Each week, we'll make a list of businesses we think are the "Best of" the week's category. This week, we want to know what you think is the best date night spot in the area. Vote in our poll to tell us what you think, or tell us in the comments of something we missed, so readers can whittle their options for next week's prime date night (it's Valentine's Day, for you forgetful folks—and you're welcome).

"Best of" date night destinations:

The Cellar Bistro, known for its fresh, local ingredients, has plenty of shareables on its menu and a wine recommendation for all food items. Couples can cozy up with a pillow in a booth or belly up to the bar in the dimly-lit corner spot on Valentine's Day.

Bistro Monet

This small space for dining on French fare is ideal for people-watching as neighboring tables of couples try new tastes from chef Michel Saragueta.

Elegant lighting, rich, hearty and perfectly-prepared dishes and warm staff are always perks of dining at Ivy. On the most romantic night of the year, expect to be treated like the most important couple in town right though desserts and espresso.

Cab's Wine Bar Bistro

The casually sexy scene at Cab's usually includes a lively and full bar of patrons stopping by for a drink or prepping for a meal from the menu of New American Cuisine dishes.

The European-style dining experience allows couples to take their time on the bistro-style entrees in this quiet, romantic space that was inspired by the owner's trip to Paris.

Gratto Trattoria & Tapas Bar

The Italian tapas menu at Gratto features sharing plates couples can eat with their hands—a traditionally sensual dining experience.

I'm totally biased with Ivy because my first time eating there was last Valentine's day! We were there for hours (which I learned they somehow get you to do there...)

My favorite isn't on the list; The Bank.

If you haven't been to Bistro Monet, you should definitely go. It is AMAZING!!! We love Suzette's, but Bistro Monet is even better.
