Austin BBQ Closes in Downtown Wheaton

Austin BBQ has closed its doors after three years in business on Front Street in downtown Wheaton.

Austin BBQ has closed its restaurant at 226 W. Front St. in downtown Wheaton.

Following a 10-year partnership with a Rosati's restaurant in Rolling Meadows, owner Doug Pierce  at 226 W. Front St.

Downtown Wheaton Association Executive Director Paula Barrington confirmed the restaurant is closing Wednesday.

"Sadly we just learned that Austin BBQ has closed," she said. "Despite this loss, things are still trending upward in Downtown Wheaton," she added.

Lee Jackels, the landlord for the 226 W. Front St. property, declined to comment on the reason Austin BBQ closed.
