AlphaGraphics Celebrates 25-Year Anniversary

AlphaGraphics in downtown Wheaton celebrates 25th year in business.

, 128 N. Main St. in Wheaton earlier this year celebrated its 25th anniversary in business, according to an AlphaGraphics news release.

Frank and Barbara Kohout of Wheaton were among franchisees from 22 other locations to celebrate major anniversaries this year.

“It is incredibly rewarding to see our franchisees reach this milestone anniversary,” AlphaGraphics President Art Coley said in a statement. “Their longevity is a true testament of the commitment they have made to each of their business centers. We look forward to many more years to come with these franchisee partners!”

The husband and wife team has owned and operated the local AlphaGraphics in downtown Wheaton since 1988, when an ad in the Wall Street Journal for an AlphaGraphics franchise caught their eye, according to the release. Frank Kohout is a U.S. Marie Corps veteran, and the couple is also very involved with their local community.

Each of these silver anniversary centers has a unique story of success; however, the franchisees have communicated that part of their growth is attributed to the support of the corporate team at AlphaGraphics and the adaptability in the business model.

“Another key factor in AlphaGraphics’ continued success is our nimbleness to change,” Coley said. “Because of improvements in technology and our relationships with vendors, franchisees are first to benefit, adapt and change as the industry does.”

AlphaGraphics was founded in Tucson, Arizona in 1970. In 1979, the company began franchising its unique business model, which offers a comprehensive suite of marketing and print solutions for B2B customers. Today, there are nearly 300 franchises across 30 states.
