Airhart Construction Opens New Ranch Town Home in Wheaton

Airhart Construction recently opened the open floorplan-styled Forsyth townhome model, available for immediate delivery, at Mackenzie Place in Wheaton.

Airhart Construction recently lifted the curtain on a new, fully furnished, ranch townhome that’s available for immediate occupancy to one lucky buyer at Mackenzie Place — a community of luxury townhomes in Wheaton.

Specifically created to cater to strong customer demand for an open floorplan, the Forsyth features an airy flow, easy access and unobstructed visibility between its great room, formal dining room, kitchen, and breakfast area.

“We fashioned the Forsyth after our best-selling floor plan at Fisher Farm in Winfield, a community of single family homes,” said Bill Whelan, Airhart Construction’s marketing manager. “Customers rave about the plan’s lofty, voluminous feel, generous array of windows and overall openness, which makes it easier to entertain family and friends. We felt it was a natural to replicate that successful layout at Mackenzie Place.”

“New construction ranch townhomes are pretty hard to come by, particularly this close to downtown Wheaton and including deluxe amenities like all-brick exteriors, driveways and patios,” said Whelan. “The Forsyth is ideal for many different types of buyers-- such as empty nesters seeking to ‘rightsize’ without sacrificing comfort, or on-the-go professionals looking to have an association manage  routine maintenance, such as shoveling snow, mowing the grass and raking the leaves.”

Whelan noted that only nine opportunities remain to have a townhome built at Mackenzie Place. Shoppers can select from eight different townhome designs in all — four ranches and four two-story designs (two of which include a first-floor master suite). Every townhome provides two to four bedrooms; two to four baths; a full basement; luxurious kitchen with custom cabinets and stainless steel appliances; nine-foot first and second-floor ceilings; deluxe woodwork and trim; two-car attached garage; walk-in closets; breakfast areas and dens (per plan); and 1,402 to 2,716 square feet. Base prices range from $398,000 to $625,000.

Options depend on the home selected, and can include a private elevator, custom bookcases, screened-in porch, and virtually unlimited customizations to cater to any buyer’s preferences.

Mackenzie Place is located two blocks south of Geneva Road on President Street in north Wheaton. The property boasts a distinctive setting with attractively landscaped grounds, including pond vistas from the patios of many of the homes. Most building configurations house two residences. Consequently, the majority of the townhomes built are coveted end units offering extra privacy.
