Wheaton-Warrenville South Senior Aims for Miss Outstanding Teen IL

Olivia Negris was named the pageant's regional winner and will compete against 27 others at the Illinois finals on June 28.

Wheaton resident and Wheaton-Warrenville South senior Olivia Negris, the current titleholder of the Miss Chain O’Lakes title in the Miss Outstanding Teen Illinois pageant circuit, will compete for the statewide title on June 28, the Suburban Life reports.

According to the paper, Negris, whose pageant talent is baton-twirling and lists her platform as “Get Involved for Success,” only began competing in pageants at age 17, on a recommendation from her Silver Knight Baton Corps twirling teammates; she told the paper that the interview segments of baton competitions prepared her for the similar portions of a pageant.

“They said that they assumed before the pageant even started with the way that I talked and held myself I had done it before,” Olivia told the paper. “I think a lot of that is my baton skills transferring over.”
