FIND WALDO IN DOWNTOWN GLEN ELLYN!

May 30, 2012-- Where's Waldo? Come find him in Downtown Glen Ellyn for our 5th annual Scavenger Hunt. He's turning twenty-five this year, and to celebrate, the famous fellow in the striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is visiting 30+ different local businesses throughout our downtown. Those who participate and spot him can win prizes, including buttons, books, and more!

The scavenger hunt is free of charge and participants begin at The Glen Ellyn Public Library any date after July 1 (but make sure to leave enough time to finish your quest before July 31)!  We have 20 required businesses to find Waldo and 18+ optional businesses that will hide a Where’s Waldo book that once you find, you can enter in drawing to win.  Once you complete your 20 required businesses, head to The Bookstore, turn in your completed sheet, and enter to win one of many awesome prizes!  The first 100 to finish will also receive a Where’s Waldo button.

Waldo is the creation of Martin Handford, whose entertaining drawings of crowd scenes swept the world in 1987. Since then, the Where’s Waldo books have held a cherished spot on bookstore shelves the world over. There are now over 55 million Waldo books in print worldwide and they’ve been translated into eighteen languages. An entire generation has grown up searching for Waldo and his cast of wandering companions.
