Pink balloons will adorn Downtown Wheaton on October 6 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a shopping fundraiser, Pretty in Pink, taking place that evening. Ten percent of proceeds from participating businesses will be donated to the local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
In addition, the first 100 shoppers will receive a free tote bag and gift. All shoppers will receive a "Pretty in Pink Passport", which will be stamped as they visit different stores in Downtown Wheaton for a chance to be entered to win $50.00 in Downtown Wheaton gift certificates. Shoppers do not have to purchase anything to receive a stamp.
