Friends Garden Day Sale

April showers bring May flowers and May brings the perennially popular Friends of the Library Garden Day Sale. This year the sale is Saturday, May 21 from 9:00 am until 2pm. Held on the West Plaza of the library, this garden extravaganza features home grown plants, new and used gardening supplies and tools, flower pots, garden decorations and other outdoor treasures. All plants are donated by local gardeners and tend to be those that thrive in this area.

The sale begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Shop early for a wonderful selection! In the past we’ve had hostas, ground covers, daylilies of every variety, herbs, mums, iris, yarrow and ferns. You’re certain to find something you’ll want to grow in your garden! Gardening items donated and sold last year included a push mower, a compost bin, wonderful garden frogs, and plant containers of every description. If you’re a gardener, don’t miss this event!
