Wheaton Roads to Close for Ramie Harris 5K
Roads will close Oct. 6 for a Wheaton College alumni run honoring Ramie Harris.
The Wheaton College Alumni/Student 5K Ramie Harris Run will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 beginning at 8 a.m.
The event will honor and celebrate the life of Ramie Harris, a junior who died in a plane crash while on her way back to school after Thanksgiving break.
The following streets will be closed for this event:
- Washington Street between East Oak and Union
- Union between Washington and Scott
- North Scott between Union and Lincoln
- East Lincoln between North Scott and North Cross
- North Cross between East Lincoln and East Prairie
- East Prairie between North Cross and North Scott
- North Scott between East Prairie and Wakeman Avenue
- Wakeman Avenue between North Scott and Santa Rosa
- Cadillac Drive/Webster Avenue between Santa Rosa and North Path
- North Path between Webster and Howard
- Howard between North Path and East Forest Avenue
- East Forest between Howard and Santa Rosa
- Santa Rosa between East Forest and East Oak, and
- East Oak between Santa Rosa and North Washington.
This condition will exist for approximately two hours from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Police will direct traffic.
