The event, which takes place on Saturday, August 2, will feature over 100 local and national brews, live music, food vendors, and a lot of summer fun in Wheaton’s Memorial Park. Breweries offered at this year’s Brew Fest include Revolution, Dogfish Head, Brickstone, 51st Ward, Boston Beer, and many more.

One of the event’s main missions is to raise funds for CASA: Court Appointed Special Advocates of DuPage County, a nonprofit organization that provides advocacy and support for abused and neglected children. A portion of ticket and merchandise sales will be donated to CASA.

Lisa Drake, Executive Director of CASA, says, “Brew Fest couples the appeal of craft brew, a beautifulSaturday afternoon in the park, and raising money for DuPage County’s most vulnerable citizens: its abused and neglected children. The guests’ attendance directly makes an impact on the children living here. It doesn’t get much better than that!”

Brian Whitkanack, Restaurant Director at Arrowhead Golf Club, says, “There are more and more beer festivals happening every year, but what makes ours unique is the setting; Memorial Park is the ideal location for this event. We at the Wheaton Park District have been given a great opportunity to bring the beer community together, from newbies to home brewers to brew masters. I’m excited for people to come out and try some newer Illinois breweries like Penrose (Geneva), Destihl (Bloomington), and Tighthead (Mundelein), among many others.”

Ben Sampson of Dry City Brew Works, and up-and-coming Wheaton brewery, adds, “This is a great opportunity for the people of Wheaton and surrounding communities to gather and try beers that they may not have been exposed to before.”

Wheaton Brew Fest is sponsored by Haggerty Chevrolet, Dry City Brew Works, Euclid Beverage, Arrowhead Golf Club, Yelp, Whole Foods, Chiro-One, K-Hits 104.3, and Binny’s Beverage Depot.
