Weather: Temperatures Drop, Snow Could Come Later This week

Following a weekend of warmer temperatures and severe weather, temps are expected to cool off this week. 

Later this week, Wheaton residents could see rain showers and, possibly, snow showers, according to the National Weather Service.

Here is a detailed look at the weather forecast this week for Wheaton: 

Monday: Mostly cloudy then gradually becoming sunny with a high near 43 degrees. It will be breezy with a west northwest wind of 15 to 20 mph and wind gusts as high as 30 mph. A low of 27 degrees is in the forecast at night. 

Tuesday: Sunny skies with a high near 46 degrees. Light southwest wind between 5 to 10 mph in the morning. A low of 34 degrees is in the forecast at night.
 
Wednesday: There is a 30 percent chance of showers expected mainly after noon on Wednesday. Mostly cloudy skies with a high near 46 degrees and a south wind between 10 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph. At night, a low of 40 degrees and a 50 percent chance of showers. 

Thursday: There is a 30 percent chance of showers during the day Thursday with cloudy skies and a high near 47. At night, temps could reach a low of 35. 

Friday: A chance of rain and snow is in the forecast on Friday with cloudy skies and a high near 40. There is a slight chance of rain and snow Friday night with a low around 27. 

Saturday: Breezy and mostly sunny skies with a high near 33. At night there could be a low of 17. 

Sunday: Mostly sunny skies with a high near 29.
