Top Ten Fun Things to do at the Museum this Summer 

1. Summer is here! Fresh flowers, bright skies, and fun parks!  Across the street is Adams Memorial Park, the perfect place for a picnic. Find out what the connection is between Adams Park and the museum.   
2. Pick up your Passport to Adventure and complete an activity sheet to receive a sticker. Visit 7 of the other sites listed in the booklet and earn a special prize!    
3. Play I-spy in the model train layout and see if you can find Superman, Thomas the Tank and more!    
4. Visit our Civil War exhibit and see what a soldier would carry in his knapsack.    
5. Take a stroll around historic Downtown Wheaton. Sign up for our Architecture Walking Tours at the front desk! Tours are scheduled for the second Saturday of the month at 10am. Tours may also be arranged for groups of 4 or more.    
6. Come check out our Train Saturdays on the third and fifth Saturdays of every month. The Train engineers come in and run the trains including Thomas the Tank Engine and a vintage steam engine. Trains run from 1:30pm to 3:30pm on July 16 and 30, and August 20.

8. Keep the kids busy this summer with a Civil War Scavenger Hunt in our newest exhibit DuPage County and the Civil War! Find the worksheet at the Museum Front Desk.   
9. Volunteer at the Museum! Volunteers are needed for help with programs, special events, research and tours. Inquire at the front desk and fill out a volunteer application.    
10. Come view the 36th IL Regiment Civil War Flag on display in the Auditorium. Plan a trip to see this special piece of history!
