Northside Park Closed for Road Work

The park will reopen Thursday, May 16. Crews work to remove circle driveway on West Street.

Northside Park in Wheaton will be closed until Thursday, May 16, while contractors work to replace the entrance circle on North West Street.

Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday. Roads will be inaccessible until later this week, according to a message from the Wheaton Park District.

Parking will be available during the week on adjacent streets and the lot at Armbrust and Darling Streets. The First Baptist Church on Main Street will also allow public use of their parking lot. There is pedestrian access to the park from the west side of the church near the basketball courts/pool parking lot.

The temporary gravel access can be used to access the east parking lots until the final asphalt surface is placed. We are on track to have the project substantially completed by the end of the month.
