Rugby Starts In Wheaton Soon!

I know its hard to believe with all of this frigid weather but, spring is just around the corner.  and with spring comes spring sports.  The newest and coolest sport this spring in our area will be Rugby.  Youth rugby to be exact.  In their fourth season the Warthog Rugby Club players have captured bronze two years running in the Illinois Youth Rugby Championships at the Middle School level and now have a High School team  competing in their second season.

More can be found out about the Warthogs by going to their website at www.warthog-rugby.com  Practices begin in mid march and there is a Warrenville Park District class called Intro to Rugby Skills running from February 10th through March 17th on Monday nights from 5:30 til 7:00.  Check it out and you will begin to understand why rugby is coming back to the Olympics in 2016. everyone carries the ball, Its fast paced and exciting to watch and play!  Catch the fever!!
