Rover Rescue Dog of the Week

If man’s best friend is the dog and diamonds are a girl’s best friend, I must be everyone’s best friend!  My name is DIAMOND and I am a gem of a girl!  I am definitely an haute couture original.  I am an exquisite 2 year old Terrier/Beagle mix who currently weighs 30 pounds.  I have the black and tan coloring of a Beagle, but with long legs and the body of a Greyhound, but on a much smaller scale.  I am not hard and cold like a precious stone, but have a soft and lustrous coat, especially on my ears and face.  I am told that I am indeed a rare and beautiful treasure! My foster family thinks that I am almost flawless.  I have a very mild temperament that will make me an ideal candidate for any family, no matter the age of the members.  I am a romantic at heart and will bond very quickly.  I get very excited to see people and long to be with you as close as a ring on your finger.  I get along okay with other dogs, as long as they realize that I am of higher carat.   I am not much of a playmate, as I would prefer to relax in my luxury and carry my bone throughout the house.  I will generously share my bones with my people, but not with other canines.  I can be greedy and believe all treats belong to me.  My foster family thinks I am brilliant!  I am crate trained and housebroken.  Not only do I know to do my unpleasant business outside, I do it quickly!  I love to go for car rides and I am learning to walk well on a leash.  I understand the word “no” and will obey once it is spoken.  I sleep through the night, not making a peep.  If you are looking to add a stunning addition to your family, you will not find a more polished jewel.  Please call Teri at 630-897-7454 so you can meet me, DIAMOND.  Confucius says, “Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without”.  Diamond’s Video Debut: http://youtu.be/dqfVvf_t9Eo
