WHEN: 3:30p.m.- Monday, August 26th

HOW: It is not everyday senior adults get to let their hair blow in the wind on the open river. The trip will start with the senior residents carpooling together so everyone can board at the Pottawatomie Park dock. The Anderson family has owned and operated the Paddlewheel Riverboat since the mid 1940's. Most of the cruise routes have not changed but the scenery never gets old.

WHO: According to the St. Charles Paddlewheel Riverboats website, “Chet Anderson was working at the Pottawatomie Park concession stand in the-mid 1940's when the idea of buying a boat and offering rides to the park picnickers began to take shape in his mind." It's possible one of our senior residents might have enjoyed the cruise as a child in the original Honeymoon Queen boat!
