Event Honorees

At the Gala, community leaders Alexander “Sandy” and Rinda Allison will be presented with the Roger K. Johnson Award in honor of their many years of service to families and communities served by Metropolitan Family Services DuPage.

The Allisons have been residents of Glen Ellyn since 1972. Sandy served on the Metropolitan Family Services DuPage Board for 15 years, and currently is a member of the Associate Board, where he has served for the last 12 years.

Sandy, an attorney who retired in 2003 after working 31 years at Nicor, is active in the DuPage community. He has served as treasurer, vestry member, and junior and senior warden of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and as a member of the Glen Ellyn Library Board of Trustees. Currently, Sandy sits on the board of Central Du Page Pastoral Counseling Center.

Rinda went to law school at age 50 and then joined Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins, Ltd., where she was an attorney for 17 years. She also has been active in the community with the League of Women Voters, served a term on the Glen Ellyn Village Board and on the Plan Commission for many years.
