B.R. Ryall YMCA Swim Team Makes it to Nationals

As the B.R. Ryall YMCA Swim Team approaches the final championship meets, they have every reason to expect big time drops and trips to the podium. The swimmers, ranging in age from 6-18, have worked hard, swam fast and had some fun along the way.

The regional meet schedule this summer included UIC, Notre Dame, University of Iowa and the Illinois Swimming Summer Regional Meet in Oswego, IL. Kate Morris finished first in 50 fly, 100 back and 100 free. She also qualified for Age Group Champs in all three. Other first place finishers included Jane Denenberg in 100 IM and Kate Kissane in the 50 breast. Bram Williams, Annabel Davis, Sydney Green and Joe Green made the podium.

To finish off the season, swimmers will be competing at the 2013 Swimming Long Course Speedo Age Group Championship and the 2013 Long Course YMCA Nationals held in Atlanta, GA. Age Group Champ swimmers include: Annabel Davis, Jane Denenberg, Sydney Green, Kate Kissane, Kate Morris, Meg Murphy, Molly Rosenthal and Evan Sheriff. Swimmers attending the YMCA Nationals include: Meg Beese, Quin Crisman, Alanna Galvin, Erin Sivak, Stephen Spittler, Max St. George, Amanda Stiegal, MaryClaire Webb and Bram Williams.
