Award-Winning Pianists to Perform at The Holmstad

Award-winning pianists Joe Bongiorno and David Nevue will perform a free concert at The Holmstad on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. The Holmstad is located at 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia.

The tone of the evening’s program will be music to quiet your world. Pianist and composer Joe Bongiorno will perform the intimate melodies that helped him win album of the year at SoloPiano.com and dual nominations for album of the year at Whisperings Solo Piano Radio. Based in Sedona, Ariz., Bongiorno has released eight albums and appears at The Homstad as he kicks off his 2013 Midwest concert tour.

Program director for the popular Internet radio broadcast Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio, David Nevue’s piano style brings melody and heart back to instrumental music. Nevue has released 13 albums since his first in 1992.

His 2005 album “Overcome” was named Best Instrumental Piano Album of 2005 at the Lifestyle Music Awards. A self-taught pianist from Eugene, Ore., Nevue’s music is broadcast on more than 220 radio programs worldwide, as well as on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Music Choice and Pandora Radio.

The concert is free, but space is limited. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to (630) 879-4100.
