Community Update

The Wheaton
Chapter of the Auxiliary of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago thanks all
those who supported its 44th annual Luminaria fundraiser.  The soft glow of candlelight on Christmas Eve
is a beautiful sight in Wheaton each year, a sight which transforms
neighborhoods and warms the heart of many residents.  We sincerely thank the following for their
participation and support of the luminaria tradition:

Kyle
Buikema, the entire Buikema family and their Buikema's ACE Hardware Stores for
allowing us to sell Luminaria, Patrick Zurek, manager of the Danada store, Dick
Holterhaus, manager of the North Wheaton store, and the staff of both stores; Mark
Schmitt of Schmitt’s Landscape Company for the donation and delivery of sand,
the Arrowhead neighborhood, especially hosts Dan and Honey Swinford, and Scott
Harris, Joe Carbonaro, Jeff Kincaid, Bob Greene and others who have helped for
more than 20 years! We also thank the Virgilio family, for again lighting up
Wheaton City Hall on Christmas Eve.
