The Cancer Lab: Through a 17-Year-Old's eyes

A blog following the personal thoughts and observations of Adam Erickson, an American Cancer Society Volunteer and Summer High School Research Program participant at the Loyola Medical Cancer Center.

Hey there anyone and everyone,

My name is Adam Erickson and I am a rising senior at High School (class of 2013!).  I'm currently working on a research project at the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center at the Loyola School of Medicine for the American Cancer Society (ACS).  ACS has asked us to get in touch with our communities and inform them about the program through press releases, blogs, facebook posts, and other casual means.  That is my goal with these posts here.

So, if you are a high school student -or- you have any interest in cancer fundrasing and research -or- you have wondered about the laboratory environment -or- perhaps you know who I am -or- you'd like to hear some potentially important science from a layperson's perspective THEN I encourage you to read some of the information availabe in this blog.
