Today in Wheaton: Sunny, Warmer and Hot Cars Tonight

Mostly sunny and warm conditions will rule today, according to Accuweather, which predicts a high in the mid-80s and an overnight low in the low 60s. That seems like perfect conditions for an evening trip down Memory Lane, or in this case, Front Street.

The city’s Foreign Fire Insurance Tax Board starts the day at 8 a.m. at Fire Station #1, One Fapp Circle — it’s still a weekday, after all, and business needs to be conducted.

But if you like old cars, prepare for an evening of nostalgia at the Vintage Rides Antique Car & Custom Motorcycle Show from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Check out antique cars during this popular weekly summer car show that has popped up on Front Street each Friday night. The season’s last show is Sept. 13. It’s on Front Street, 100 East through 100 West blocks (on either side of Main Street).
