Mostly Sunny With a Chance of a Pumpkin Fest Today in Wheaton

Summerlike weather is continuing to cling as Wheaton rushes headlong into the fall season, and of course there’s a pumpkin festival today to help set the mood for the seasonal transition.


The Weather Channel predicts mostly sunny skies today and partly cloudy skies tonight. The day’s high will be in the low 80s, and the overnight low in the mid-50s.

  • 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. — Lecture, Poetry Reading by David Ferry: The English Department at Wheaton College hosts a 4 p.m. lecture and 7:30 p.m. poetry reading.

  • 7:30 p.m. — Wheaton College Faculty Recital Series: The Wheaton College Conservatory of Music presents Deb Stevenson and the Metropolis Oboe Quartet. Southeast corner of Washington and Franklin streets, Wheaton.
