The old Ron's TV store is for lease at the corner of Liberty Drive and Hale Street in downtown Wheaton. A design has been approved for the 1927 building, but no businesses currently occupy the space. The design would feature brick, stone and caping, similar to the Il Sogno building across the tracks. The available space is 4,561 square feet, and is divisible to 916 square feet with its space options. The first space is 3,645 square feet, divisible to 1,050 square feet, with 12-foot ceilings. When Adelle's Fine American Fare moved to its new location on Liberty Drive, it opened up a 4,450-square-foot space in the retail strip on College Avenue. Now listed for lease at $4,605 a month, the restaurant-ready, 3,250-square-foot indoor space can occupy up to 80 people, a 1,200-square-foot patio that seats up to 55 people and basement storage, according to its listing. The iconic landmark of downtown Wheaton, the Wheaton Grand Theater, has been on the market since May, but it has been empty for years. The 12,000-square-foot former theater, 119-127 N. Hale is listed through Century 21 for $599,000. The space is now available for rent, or for sale, with three first floor units totaling more than 3,200 square feet.
