Noise pollution caused by global warming, I'll bet! This is what gerrymandering creates.

Redistricting and the sympathy card.
CheKeroauc November 29, 2013 at 02:46 pm
You got that right Sabrina! Every time she was out on the campaign trail they made sure everyoneRead More could see her prostatic legs.
Max Smart November 30, 2013 at 09:21 am
I wasn't thinking about her legs. I was thinking about her mental handicap.

Lies. There would not have been a default, unless the President allowed it by his stubborn childishRead More attitude about making a deal. The shut down was needless, again, but due to our 'leader's' lack of skills he relished punishing our vets. If you missed that congresswoman duckworth then you are the blind leading the blind.

Nancy, what part of the Tea Party's chant about "We will shut down the government" did youRead More not understand? Did you assume that they were speaking for Obama? No, the stubborn, childish attitude was all Ted Cruz and his Green Eggs and Ham buddies. The big picture is that a group of politicians, led by Ted Cruz, ranted and raved for months about how they were going to shut down the government and then when it happened, they all point the finger at the President as if that wasn't their intention all along. If you remember the School House Rocks short on how a bill becomes a law, the House and the Senate vote for a bill. If the bills don't agree completely (and most times they don't), they go to Conference to hammer out the differences and then send it to the President to sign (hopefully). Both houses of Congress had their versions of the budget bill back in March, but Boehner and Cantor refused to let it go to Conference to resolve the issues. Instead they pushed it to the brink so that they could shut down the government and then they cried about why the President didn't work with them or why the Senate wouldn't go to Conference with them on their new version of the bill. It's a sham and they just made up the rules along the way. If you want to shut down the government, you have to understand that the government will shut down and things will get closed that depend upon government funding and face the consequences. Them complaining about things being shut down after the fact because it makes it into the news and they didn't realize how bad they would look, is disingenuous and asinine. I'm a veteran, I don't subscribe to either party although I vote mostly Republican, and I put this squarely on the shoulders of Cruz and the Tea Party. Their stupid ploy got them nothing, hurt the entire nation (not just veterans) and made the entire party look like bigger buffoons than we already knew they were.

Hogwash.

That's such utter nonsense typically spouted by those trying to confound and confuse. The House hasRead More voted to fund 100%, except for Obamacare. It is the Democrats who have not budged or negotiated, and have "shut down" the government. "Clean" is a euphemism for capitulating to the Democrat's desires with no negotiation. Ms. Duckworth ought to be ashamed to even think of using the word, let alone use it. The voters of the district deserve much better representation.

Tammy, if it was so affordable, (Obamanation Care) then why all the whining from members of CongressRead More and the rest of their parasitic staff members about their out of pocket expense? Taxpayers are to subsidize 75% of the cost for Congress? If true, you and the rest of the ruling political class truly have no credibility. Spare the feigned outrage regarding Department of Veterans Affairs, SNAP, and WIC. Bipartisanship is a fallacy. BTW You may have reached your level of incompetence when running the VA. However, thank you for your service in the military.
Max Smart October 15, 2013 at 11:45 am
William, she would be ashamed except for the fact that liberals cannot be shamed. Shame requires aRead More conscience which requires logic.

Thanks for continuing bloated government spending! 12m bucks right out of my pocket! Well doneRead More Tammy!

This is disgusting and un-American...Just like Duckworth.
Walter Bruun September 17, 2013 at 04:32 am
@ Max - from all of your comments I've read, I would have to say that you're the one who isRead More disgusting and un-American. You're just another right-wing troll who had better things to do rather than serve our country - the brave men and women who ARE serving her in uniform & putting their lives on the line - straight and gay - have more courage and love for their country in their little fingers than you will ever have. Either walk the walk or STFU.

There you go again, Walt. No substance=No character. People, like you, who blindly follow are aRead More clear and present danger.

30-Year Fixed Rate Mortgage Rates Fall To 4.51%; Refinance Chances Resurface Conforming 30-yearRead More mortgage rates dropped to 4.51% last week, according to Freddie Mac's weekly survey. The drop gives home buyers relief on payment, and gives refinancing households a second chance to lock a low rate. www.david-braun.com

"This decision puts all of our rights in jeopardy"...Really? Just how does the SCOTUSRead More ruling on the Voting Rights Act put ALL of our rights in jeopardy? Another unqualified political hack using a wide brush to paint as many people as she can as racist.
Kevin Killion August 28, 2013 at 08:06 pm
What????? Duckworth spouts, "Earlier this year the Supreme Court ruled that a key portion ofRead More the Voting Rights Act, a landmark piece of legislation for civil rights, was unconstitutional." NO THEY DIDN'T! The Court simply (and reasonably) observed you can't justify federal intrusion in local voting based on 50 year old data!
Max Smart August 28, 2013 at 09:42 pm
Liberals spout crap and expect it to be held as fact because they said it.
