UPDATED 9:52 PM: Jeanne Ives Wins 42nd State Representative District

Four republicans compete for the seat.

 

The 42nd District covers portions of Carol Stream, West Chicago, Winfield, Wheaton, Warrenville, Lisle, Naperville and Woodridge. The term lasts two years. Whoever wins in November will take office in January 2013. Due to redistricting, there is no incumbent for this race.

With 100 precincts reporting, Jeanne Ives has won the primary for the 42nd State Representative district with 35.74 percent of the vote.

UPDATED 9:35 P.M.

With 99 precincts reporting, Jeanne Ives leads in the race for the 42nd State Representative District with 35.54 percent.

UPDATED 9:23 P.M.

With 90 of 100 precincts reporting, Jeanne Ives leads the race with 34.72 percent of the vote. Chris hage is in second with 30.98 percent.

UPDATED 9:10 P.M.

With 68 precincts reporting, Jeanne Ives continues to lead with 35 percent of the vote. Chris Hage trails with 31.99 percent.

UPDATED 8:57 P.M.

With 55 of 100 precincts reporting, Jeanne Ives leads with 36.33 percent of the vote. Chris Hage is behind with 32.5 percent.

UPDATED 8:40 P.M.

With 41 of 100 precincts reporting, Jeanne Ives leads with 37.66 percent of the vote. Chris Hage is in second place with 31.47 percent.

UPDATED 8:25 P.M.

With 21 of 100 precincts reporting, Jeanne Ives leads with 38.88 percent of the vote.

UPDATED 8:15 P.M.

With four of 100 precincts reporting, Ives leads with 33 percent of the vote. Chris Hage is behind at 32 percent.

UPDATED 8:05 P.M.

Jeanne Ives leads by three votes. She beat Chris Hage in Milton 86, 78-43.

All I can say is whoever gets in better hit the ground running and not smooching the backsides of the party down there. Otherwise the voters will elect someone else to represent them in two years. Its that simple.

Me thinketh he'd be a better legislator. Evidentally, he did not work hard enough to gain the nomination.
